Curriculum for the children, by the children

Our curriculum is intended to encourage learners to enjoy learning and to reach their full potential.  To do this we take into account the school’s background and surrounding area as well as the learners’ backgrounds and interests in order to create a high quality curriculum that motivates our learners and reflects our school’s roots.  To achieve this we give learners the opportunity to influence and steer their learning with staff facilitating and directing the use of these opinions and ideas.  We also take advantage of close community contacts to undertake visits and make use of expertise in the local area.
